At Tennessee School of Beauty, we believe that being a beauty professional is about more than just hair, skin, and nails—it’s about creating a safe and supportive environment for every client. That’s why we’re proud to announce that we are a Milady RISE Partner School!
What Does It Mean to Be a Milady RISE Partner School?
A Milady RISE Partner School is more than just a place to learn technical skills. It’s a cause-driven institution committed to preparing students to make a difference in their communities. While infection control is a key aspect of our industry, client safety goes beyond cleanliness and disinfection. As a Milady RISE Partner School, we ensure our students are educated on critical topics, including:
- Practical Infection Control
- Domestic Abuse Awareness
- Human Trafficking Awareness
How This Benefits Our Students
Students who attend a Milady RISE Partner School graduate with their Milady Certification in Client Well-Being & Safety. This certification provides a competitive edge in the job market, equipping our graduates with knowledge that not only enhances their résumés but also empowers them to make a real impact in their future careers.
Beauty Professionals Are Allies
As a beauty professional, you build trust with your clients, and sometimes, that trust can be life-changing. You may be the first person to notice signs of abuse or trafficking, and with the right training, you can be a voice for those who need it most.
Staying Current in the Industry
Our industry is constantly evolving, and staying informed is essential. By incorporating the latest safety and well-being standards into our curriculum, we ensure our students graduate with up-to-date knowledge that matters to both clients and employers.
Employers Are Looking for It
Standing out in the beauty industry takes more than just technical talent—it takes dedication and a willingness to go the extra mile. Employers recognize the value of the Milady Certification in Client Well-Being & Safety, and it serves as a powerful way for our graduates to demonstrate their commitment to professionalism and client care.
Why This Training Matters
Domestic Violence Awareness
The statistics are alarming:
- 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men will experience Intimate Partner Violence in their lifetime.
- At least 5 million acts of domestic violence occur annually to women aged 18 and older, and over 3 millioninvolve men.
As a beauty professional, you have the opportunity to recognize the signs and take steps to support those in need. By learning how to identify potential indicators of domestic violence, you can offer a safe space and help direct clients to the resources they need.
Human Trafficking Awareness
Human trafficking is a devastating issue affecting thousands of lives every year:
- An estimated 18,000 to 20,000 victims are trafficked into the United States annually.
- More than half of these victims are children.
- While California, Texas, and Florida are hotspots for trafficking, it can happen anywhere.
Through this program, our students learn to recognize potential warning signs and understand how to take action responsibly and safely. Knowledge is power, and with the right education, beauty professionals can help change lives.
Making a Difference
By becoming a Milady RISE Partner School, Tennessee School of Beauty is taking a stand for safety, awareness, and empowerment in the beauty industry. We are committed to ensuring our students are not only skilled professionals but also informed allies for those in need.
If you’re passionate about beauty and want to be part of a school that cares about its students and its community, Tennessee School of Beauty is the place for you.
