At Tennessee School of Beauty, we are bursting with pride as we celebrate a momentous victory in the 2024 Intercoiffure Student Contest, themed around a subject close to our hearts—sustainability. This year, our very own Kenleigh Franse, under the skilled mentorship of instructor Lindsey Moore, claimed the grand prize with her pioneering and eco-conscious hair design.

Kenleigh’s journey to the top was fueled by her commitment to sustainability and an innovative approach that perfectly aligned with the contest’s goal of promoting eco-friendly practices in the beauty industry. By utilizing Pivot Point’s CAP SERIES mannequins, not only did Kenleigh create an awe-inspiring look, but she also highlighted the importance of using sustainable resources in our field.

Lindsey Moore, a distinguished mentor and TSB instructor, provided guidance and inspiration throughout the contest, empowering Kenleigh to push boundaries and embrace her role as a future leader in the beauty industry. Lindsey’s dedication to nurturing talent and promoting sustainable practices within our curriculum shines through in this significant achievement.

This victory at the prestigious Intercoiffure America Canada Fall Atelier in New York is not just a win for Kenleigh and Lindsey but a win for our entire community at Tennessee School of Beauty. We are inspired by their dedication and thrilled to support their journey as they continue to make impactful strides towards a more sustainable future.

While working on this project, I took inspiration from nature and incorporated it into my mannequin’s final look to represent sustainability and what it means to me.
