Hey, beauty enthusiasts! We’re buzzing with excitement here at Tennessee School of Beauty and we just can’t keep this news to ourselves. Drumroll, please… Our very own superstar, Ellysse Clark, has been recognized as one of the top educators in the prestigious Intercoiffure America Canada’s (ICA) Honor Your Teacher competition! 🌟

Each year, the Fall Atelier hosted by ICA shines a spotlight on the incredible talents within the beauty community, celebrating the resilience and innovation of its members through a series of competitions and events. This year, amidst the dazzle of creativity and passion, the Honor Your Teacher competition truly stood out by acknowledging those who not only teach but inspire.

Out of an overwhelming pool of more than 200 heartfelt nominations, five extraordinary educators rose to the top, and yes, our Ellysse was one of them! It’s a monumental accolade because, as ICA President Sheila Wilson eloquently put it, being recognized by a student is perhaps the highest honor an educator can receive. 🍎

Ellysse has been a beacon of knowledge and inspiration here at TSB, guiding aspiring stylists not just in mastering their craft but in kindling a passion that lights their paths forward. Her dedication goes beyond the classroom; she’s pivotal in helping students carve out their careers and find their perfect fit in the salon world. Sheila Wilson reminds us that mentors like Ellysse don’t just teach—they ignite a passion that paves the way to success.

“I have been a senior instructor at Tennessee School of Beauty for the past five years. Getting to set the tone for my students as they start their careers is not only a job I take seriously, but one that makes my heart beam with immeasurable pride.

I’ve made it my mission as an educator to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels safe to be themselves, gains confidence in their abilities with all hair textures, and can learn new things while also having fun.
