Here at TSB we know that prom can be one of the most exciting days of your life, but we also know that it can be one of the most stressful, too! Prom tips from TSB Cosmetology Students:

“Beauty is pain! Always have comfortable shoes in the car!”

“Try your up-do or hairstyle before the day of your prom to make sure you like it!”

“Take a clutch so you can keep the necessities in it such as hairspray, mascara, lip gloss, lip stick, eyeliner, powder, bobby pins, etc.”

“Do not give into peer pressure! No drinking and driving!”

“Always bring an umbrella in case it rains! Also, if you are going to wear your hair up, do not shampoo for 1 or 2 days. Your hairstyle will stay better with hair that has not been washed that day!”

“Go with a bunch of your friends! You will have more fun!”

“Use Humidity resistant hairspray, wear perfume, and waterproof mascara!”

“Carry breath mints and lip gloss in your handbag.”

“Wear clear deodorant and waterproof mascara! If you have a dress that has a really intricate back, I would suggest that you wear your hair up. If you have long hair, wear your hair down to show length.”

“If you decide to wear a strapless dress, find a hairstyle that suits it.”

“Use a product that will help to hold your make-up in place!”

“Take your make-up and hairspray with you and leave extra hairpins in your purse!”

Most importantly, HAVE FUN and make good decisions. This night will go by quickly. Enjoy every second!

*Clients must arrive with CLEAN, dry hair, as we will not allow time for a shampoo and blow dry prior to special occasion hair.

*Clients should also come in a shirt that can be easily removed after Up-Do (Button down, wide neck, etc.)

*If client has any special embellishments (clips, combs, pins, tiaras, veils, etc.) they can bring them for the student to place!
