Seiara Webb looked in the mirror at her new shoulder-length hairstyle and whispered words every hair stylist has heard.
“My hair is short. It’s so short,” the 11-year-old said Wednesday.
It was free hair cut day at the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley. Tennessee School of Beauty sent 30 students, four teachers and 10 portable styling stations to the BGC’s Regal Entertainment Group Teen Center off Irwin Street in North Knoxville.
The beauty school turned a teen center multi-purpose room into the BGC Salon. Two portable chairs and sinks were set up nearby the boys’ and girl’s locker rooms.
