Today our students participated in a fashion show with guests from Belleza Salon and Spa. Meghan Francis, marketing and communications director at Belleza, and Michael Layne, co-owner and educator at Bellezza Vibe and TSB graduate, judged the students’ work in several categories. Each student was required to create a poster, an outfit, and a hairstyle using one recyclable item. They were assigned artists and designers for inspiration. The winner, Augusta Anderson, will assist Belleza stylists and compete in a contest at Knoxville Fashion Week. Augusta is looking forward to being behind the scenes of Fashion Week. She says, “Fashion is what I want to do. I’m excited because I get to experience it first hand by getting to shadow people. I will learn so much.” Savannah Hoskins was our runner-up.
