November 9, 2012Meet a TSB Instructor: Candy Booker
November 21, 2012A Day in the Life of a TSB Student
When prospective students come in to visit the school, they always want to know what it is actually like to be a TSB student. We want to give everyone a little glimpse of life inside TSB straight from TSB students. Over the next few months, we will follow a few students and share their adventures.
Meet Katelyn Jones!
Katelyn joined TSB on October 2, 2012. She has been here approximately one month and has been very busy!
How would you describe your experience at TSB so far?
“I came to TSB because I have always wanted to do hair. I didn’t look at any other schools because I had heard so many great things about TSB and felt right at home when I came to visit. We have learned so much so far. Every day we are learning something new! I am so excited to come to school each day because I cannot wait to see what we are going to be doing that day.
What have you been learning over the last month?
“On the first day we learned how to shampoo and condition the hair. By the end of the second week, we had learned how to do 36 different haircuts! Then we learned hair coloring! Learning about Redken has been my favorite part, so far. ”
What is it like to be in a classroom as a student of TSB?
“Everything we do is hands on. We are taught how to do something and then we do it on our own, almost immediately. There’s not a lot of time just sitting around taking notes. The day flies by because we are working so hard! It’s fun, laid back, and it feels like one big family. Everyone bends over backwards to help each other and make sure that you succeed in everything you are doing. Whenever you have questions, they are always answered.”
What are you looking forward to most about the rest of your time here at TSB?
“I cannot wait be on the clinic floor! It’s going to be so fun to work on real clients and to make them feel beautiful!”
